Winchester Model 100 Twist Rate????
« on: July 16, 2004, 10:43:59 AM »
Anyone have any idea what the twist rate of a Winchester model 100 .308 might be?   (22" barrel)

Thanks,

Per: Lyman 46th Edition.  M100, .308 Win.  has a rate of 1 in 12".  Page 454.  Useful information from an old reloading manual.

The standard twist for the .308 is 1:12, and I can't see any reason why Winchester would have varied it for this rifle.
