Wedding

Sorry to pop another one so soon, but I just got back from the best wedding.

The Bride and Groom were wed where a river flows out of the side of a mountain.  The warm river actually flows out of the side of a mountain, some say from an underground glacier as the water is so cold and clear.

After the wedding, we ate, then the men picked up their front stuffers, all traditional of course (it was a traditional wedding) and we adjurned down river for a little shootin.  The women come over soon enough and we were all throwin lead at some gong targets across the river.  The bride was a member of the Henry's Fork Mountain Men group since she was just a little one and it seems she picked a perfect husband.

Sigh, what a wedding.

CF, I know what you mean, I've been to 2 traditional weddings, had bagpipes at both, everyone except a few elderly flatlander's relatives were dressed in period clothing. One of em even had a birchbark canoe to haul the bride and groom away on the lake afterwards! , quite a shindig! Will always have those memories and the best part about it was I wasn't the one gettn' hitched!
