New toy store , New toy!
« on: September 13, 2004, 06:31:14 PM »
Just got a new toy at a new toy store. It's a Toys R Us for the big kids, as I am one. We just got a GANDER MTN in my area. Had a day off today so I made the trip, just a little over an hour away. Oh boy was just going to look around and that I did. Didn't see anything I wanted. "BS"! I didn't. JUST SO MANY and SO LITTLE MONEY. Well anyway my new toy is a Marlin, a 39A. What I promised my self last summer. REALLY a nice 22 lever I think. It's now time to put it up maybe maybe not. Just been rubbing it down with hoppes to remove that brown gunk. OK I'll hold it and shoulder it a little longer and make that bang sound. AH new toys Guess I'm just excited and can't wait to go shoot.  New toy store and new toy. For some reason my wife just doesn't seem to join in my excitment. Thanks for letting me share. Just been wanting one for so long now have filled that want. :-D  :)  :-D  :-D

Wives are like that. Wait until she sees you sitting in front of the TV, working the action to smoothe it up a bit. She'll think you've flipped. But we know better.

Congratulations on your new rifle. The action will smooth up in time and this is one rifle you can pass down to next generation. They are that well made.

Let us know how it shoots.
