Can you check my "vexing" post about my new 45ACP barrel in the handloading forum? Any ideas? Thanks.

Questor - gotcha covered.  I do agree with jhalcott.  I also think your loads may be a bit on the light side causing powder fouling.  Your chamber may be too tight and need another polishing by Kart.  HTH.  Mikey.

Thank you. The load is actually right because it's a heavy slide bullseye gun.  It needs to work reliably with loads like that.

I found that the the nominal diameter of the cartridge is .473" and most manufacturers of IPSC guns use chamber diameters of about .480" to prevent reliabily problems related to chamber fouling. Too tight a chamber yields chamber fouling, especially with lead bullets. That appears to be the problem.

Questor - maybe Kart will polish the chamber a bit for you to relieve that problem.  50 rounds before ya go 'gunk' isn't what you want from a target pistol.  Good luck, and let us know how it works out.  Mikey.
