Does anybody know if a BAR trigger can be improved?  Does any company sell a replacement trigger.

Thanks

I have not heard of replacement triggers, however, I am having my .300 Win. Mag. Synthetic Stalker "improved" to remove excess creep.  It should be done pretty soon, so I will have to follow-up later.  You can check with F & D Gunsmithing, St. Charles, MO @ 636-441-5897 if you need specific information.

Got my gun back Saturday.  While trigger travel & weight are the same(and a little excessive, but fine for a big-game hunting rifle), the travel is now smooth as silk and the break is clean and consistent.  The gunsmith said he was a little suprised at just how good it came out as he has done alot of trigger jobs on BARs and this was his best result yet.  He did say that the factory trigger work was better than most when it came in, so perhaps that had alot to do with it.  The next test is the range...

Just about any gunsmith will work on your trigger for you, but ask around the gunshops and see if they can recommend a good "trigger man".  My 30-06 BAR had a good bit of creep and a very heavy trigger pull.  My gunsmith, who is known in the area for his excellent trigger work, got the creep out and now the pull weight is a crisp 2 1/2 Lbs.  Now the gun is a shear pleasure to shoot.  She will print sub MOA groups @ 100 Yds and without a doubt the trigger job played a big roll in being able to do that.
