Buffaloes and Prarie Dogs

There is an interesting (meaning fun) annual tournament in Asheville, NC the weekend of August 28 & 29 called the WNC held at the Asheville Rifle and Pistol Club.  In addition to the regulation targets, an extra set of targets consisting of five buffaloes and five prarie dogs are set at 108 meters.  The buffalo silhouette is 12" wide and the prarie dog is 12" tall.

Entry fee includes a tournament tee shirt, Saturday barbecue chicken dinner and door prize drawing from over $3500 worth of items.  Anyone wanting information can PM me and I will email you the brochure.

My wife and I have been to this match a few times and always have a great time. The range is beautiful and the match is run safely. They also went to alot of trouble building fold up backstops which allow you to see your misses and the bark green color makes the white animals show up great. If you can only make a few matches a year this is a good one to attend.                                                                                     Doug
