.22 Hornet for Cowboy lever action silhouette?

I looked at teh NRA rules and they list the .25-20, .32-20 on up to the .45 Colt. as pistol cartridges.  Since the .25-20 never was a pistol cartridge I wondered if the .22 Hornet of .218 Bee were allowed or if .25 bore was the smallest allowed?

akihmsa, since they allow the .25-20 for Hunters Pistol competition they also allow it for Cowboy PC.
At the beginning the .218 Bee was legal but after the first year or two of competition they determined that some shooters were driving the bullets too fast and were damaging the targets so it was outlawed from Cowboy PC competition.  I am not sure what is going on with the .22 Hornet, it may be that nobody is making lever action rifles in that caliber, at least I have not heard of any being made myself.

tony is correct, the first year we held  regional at raton every hit on chickens and pigs caused target damage.  since it really was'nt a pistol cart. anyway it was removed from the list of allowable calibers.  the 25.20 was actually used in limited numbers as a cartridge for rifle and pistol although the pistols were believed to be custom built.
