What are your preferences for loads for the 454?  Application is whitetail.  Gun is 10" FA83

my favorite pratice load is 28 gr of 296,  fed sr primer and a lbt 300grgc

Deer are very easy to kill compaired to some of the larger game. If your useing a .454 just about any bullet, except real lite ones, will do the trick. What I`ve been shooting is a 300 grn. jacketed with max. load of Win. - 296. Just over 1,500 fps., but that`s more a bear load than a deer load. BUT it will take deer also.
