Looking for a revolver for a lady

I am using RV's in .45LC.  If my wife gets interested what is out there for her?  Looking for something smaller than the RV and smaller calilber.  Can't afford Colts either.

I really like my AWA Longhorn. It has real case hardening and pretty smooth to operate right out of the box. There are also the baby RVs in 32. Uberti makes the Model P Jr or whatever they call it. I'd say a 38 would be fine and lots cheaper than a 32. Or you might just get some 357 Vaqueros and put the gunfighter grips on them.

Howdy CR,

I just went through that with my Lovely Bride. She decided she wanted to start shooting. We looked around at different guns and she really liked the Ruger Birds-Heads. Like you, I shoot 45's. Took her to the range and she shot my EMF Bisley. "I can shoot 45's" she says, so I bought her a pair of the Rugers. We took them out to the range and she put about 50 rounds down range. She turns to me and says, " I don't like the way these recoil."  I now have a new set of Rugers. :)

Went out and tracked down a set of the Ruger 32's with the Birds Head grips and surprised her with them for Christmas. She LOVES them.  She even let me shoot them a few times (after I pried them out of her hands :) ). They are sweet little guns.

So, I guess, after all that rambling I am suggesting the Ruger 32's.  :-D

Jax,
We talking about the RV's with the real short barrels here?  Something around 3 3/4" or so?  Or does Ruger make the birdshead with longer barrels?  Was thinking along those lines myself--caliber and all.  I reload so 32 or 38 wouldn't be a problem.
thanks

Ranger,

I picked up a couple of the 4 5/8. They were a special run of 1000, I think.

Rumor has it that, for next year(2004) Ruger is going to make the Birds-Head in .357 with the 3 1/2" barrel
