Have any of the manufacturers offered this caliber in a heavy-barrelled varmint version with a twist suitable for 75-85 grain bullets?

Rum River,

At this point in time, as far as I know, only Winchester/Browning offer rifles chambered for either the .223 WSSM or the .243 WSSM cartridges.  But that should be changing.  Both the Browning and Winchester should have no problems using the lighter varmint weight bullets in the .243 WSSM.  I really like my M70 Coyote in .223 WSSM.  Sub MOA from the day I got it and it has only gotten better.  Lawdog
