What a beautiful gun.  The quality and feel of this rifle is just exceptional for a rimfire.  Unfortunately, although I paid for it, I have to wait for the waiting period.  I can't wait to shoot it!

Zachary,
Best of luck with your new purchace.  I got one a few months ago and it is one of the most accurate rimfire rifles that I have ever fired.  Sorry about the waiting period.
Later,

What kind of groups do you get at 100 yards?  What ammo are you using?

Zach,
I am getting 5/8"-3/4" depending on what kind of day I'm having.  I use  Simmons "Sweet Seventeen" scope in 2-7X.  The elevation adjustment is calibrated to the trajectory of the 17g. bullet.  I chose the 2-7X as a hunting scope.  The crosshairs are fairly heavy and tend to cover my groups @ 100 yds..  I suspect the rifle would shoot tighter if I used a higher magnification scope with finer crosshairs.
I tried CCI, Remington and Hornady ammo.  Mine preferred the Hornady slightly more than the Remington, although the Remington was close.  The CCI shot good, but was edged out by the Remington and Hornady.  I have a friend who has several 17's and a couple of his shoot the CCI the best.  I guess each gun has it's particular likes.
Hornady just came out with a 20g. XTP bullet, but I haven't tried it.  Since I already have a stock of 17g. ammo I guess I'll just stick with what I have, because the gun already shoots better than I do.
Hope you enjoy your new toy when you get it.
Best,
TnNuc

Well, I got the gun today.  What a nice gun!

I cleaned out the factory crap in the barrel and mounted a scope that my brother gave me as a birthday present.  It's a Smith & Wesson 4.5x-18x-42mm.  I'm not that hot about the scope, especially since S&W discontinued their line, but I guess for a .17HMR I'll give it a try and see what happens.  I mount it in BLK 2 piece adapters and medium Burris Signature Zee rings.  The scope sits a bit higher than what I like, but I guess it's better to be a bit high than too low and thus touching the barrel.  I would think that the distance from the bottom of the bell of the scope to the barrel is about 1/2" to about 3/4" - give or take.

I can't wait to take it to the range.  Maybe this weekend.  Regardless, though, I am very excited about this gun.  It feels rock solid and just oozes quality, at least for a rimfire.

Get the Brooke trigger kit; took my trigger down to a crisp 1.5 lbs. Scope clearance has more to do with the bolt handle rather than the way it looks or clears the barrell. Mine shoots around an inch on those days I care enough to try. Kills squirells well; but rock chucks won't stay anchored sometimes. Good luck.
