I went back to the shop today to see if it was still there, and it was. I looked it over again and was amazed at how good the condition is.   I will post pic when I bring it home.

My guess is that you could get $250 to $300 around here if the condition is as good as you say.....I've always thought that a .44 would make an awful good woods rifle.......Hope you enjoy it!

I have an 1894P that I bought new about 5 years ago. It is my favorite woods walkin' rifle.

I just sold one of my two 336's in 44Mag (3000 produced).
It was my favorite hunting rifle too.
With my handloads I wouldn't hesitate taking shots on blackies or whitetail out to 150 yards.
I could pull 1.25" groups scoped at 100 yards, and steadier hands could probably do better.

I already have one just like it - straight grip, microgroove, and all - shoots great even with cast bullets (sized .429). It will make someone a great shooter.

Dang Ranger I sure wish I'd known that was for sale. "We" have one. Mrs. GB seems to think it's hers for some strange reason. Yeah I know probably cuz I told her once long ago it was. Would love to have a second so we could both have one. If you decide to get rid of the other let me know.
