:D Does anyone have input on the BSA Sweet 17 rifle scope. Believe it was made expressly for the 17 caliber?  Is it a solid type scope w/reliability & is it worth the cost? Many thanks & have a great week ahead!

This scope IS specifically made for the .17HMR.  I have never used this particular model, but most BSA scopes in my opinion are junk.  I know that the .17HMR is not a kicker at all, but there's a lot more to a scope than how much recoil it can handle.

I really like BSA's concept of a scope that is made specifically for the .17HMR, but I just don't like and won't buy a BSA scope.

I can't say I don't agree with Zachary, but FWIW, there are lots of sweet 17 owners at RFC that like them. I haven't read any negative feedback on the sweet 17 other than they are heavy. I also believe that most of the BSA owners in general are inexperienced and have never used a "good" scope so they have no idea what they are missing in a quality scope. One thing I will say for BSA, they apparently have a good warranty return system as I've read of more than one scope that was returned and replaced within a week turn around time and the owners were extremely satisfied with the scope and service. Lawdog, here on GBO, swears by the 3-12x44, owns a bunch of em on heavy kicking springer air guns and highly recommends them. I have one on a spring gun and it is a good scope for it's intended purpose. It is a bit critical in eye relief on higher power, but is clear and provides good resolution. IMO, if you stay away from the mid to low end of the BSA price line, you will probably be ok.  hth,   Tim

When anyone says BSA, the first thought that comes to mind is  "JUNK".

Sorry, I just had to say this.
