My '58 Remington made by Pietta is malfunctioning.  it used to work great then one day the cylinder stop started popping up before the hand had a chance to move the cylinder.  the only thing that I can think of is that the part on the hammer that moves the cylinder stop is worn down.  am I right.

More likely it is a problem with the bolt worn down or lost springiness when it is supposed to contact the hammer cam.
