Just bought this sweet little 20 gauge Weatherby Athena Grade III the other day. Can't wait to go to the sporting clays course with it!

:D  Very Nice shotgun. Glad to see someone else shoots good looking guns. Please let us know how it shoots. FWIW, One of the outdoor magazines rated this shotgun pretty highly a couple of years ago. I can't remember if it was Outdoor Life or Field & Stream. I kept the issue around here somewhere.

Don't you buy no ugly gun! You didn't.

Just shot some sporting clays with the Athena 20 gauge and was very impressed with it. Quick to shoulder and handled beautifully! I was finding myself waiting to shoot second birds of report pairs because I was getting on the first so quickly. The gun tracked very well and was easy to move to the target. I was very impressed and can't wait to try it on some pheasants. Excellent shotgun and pretty too!

I'm envious. Had one years ago and foolishly got rid of it (don't ask why). Those are nice pieces and a delight in the field though it took me awhile to work up the courage to take it outside of the house :-)
