Cass Creek Game Callers
« on: July 02, 2004, 07:35:38 AM »
Thinking about getting a Cass Creek Game Caller.  Anyone have experience with these?  I'm looking for a cheap setup to try predator hunting in the fall.

I see they have a new Predator II version that has the following sounds:
WOODPECKER WAIL - Shrill and piercing repetitive wail.
RACCOON PUPS - Young coon cries of distress.
KITTEN DISTRESS - Helpless feline calls of vulnerability.
GRAY FOX PUP - Calls of immature fox trigger a territory infringement.
RODENT SQUEAL - Sharp series of squeaks and drawn out squeals.

Are these good sounds for attracting fox/racoons in the fall (I want the hides) in western PA?

Thanks for the help.

I just picked up one of those a few weeks ago, going to take it up to the Brooks Range and try it out in virgin teritory.  Hopefully I'll be able to call in some wolves, cayotes, and bears.  I sent Cass Creek an E-mail asking for a unit with Alaskian type calls on it, have not recieved any response from them yet.  I like the compactness of this unit.  Also the fact that it takes reguler AAA batteries.  I also have the optional speaker and amp for it.  It's real easy to carry the caller fits in one pocket and the speaker fit in the other pocket of my jacket.  I'll let you know how it works.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
