I have a Few Question about a T/C Barrel
« on: July 24, 2004, 12:54:44 PM »
ok,I have bit the bullet and got a SS framed Encore, now how much accuracy out of a SS 300mag barrel and what bases to use on it also???

I have noticed that the SS 300mag barrel is a 1 in 12 Twist so I will be using 165/168 gr. Barnes XBT or Triple shocks in it.

Any help would be great and Thank you in advance.

My 300 will shoot 1/2" groups any day I do my part. I've had great success with 165 SSTs and RL-19 powder. I have a 2.8x10 B&L 4200 held on by Burris rings and Weaver base.

I have a 26" SS 300 with Leo III  3.5x10, Burris DD bases, signiture rings.

Second choice  would be Virgin Valley SS weaver style base and Warne QD rings.   I use both.
