Ok, this may be a rookie question, but I've got to ask.

I'm trying to paper tune my bow. My arrow is flying nock high, and right.

Do I move my nock down, and my rest left to fix this condition? I moved my nock set down a little, and vertical tear did get better. But I have moved it down some more, and it doesn't seem to be changing anymore.

Any help would be greatly apprecieated.

Yup, nock down and rest left. If you are still getting tears, be sure to check carefully for fletching contact. You will be chasing your tail otherwise. Also, be sure to take care of one tear direction at a time so that you can keep track of what you've done and can undo it if need be (like things start getting worse).

I use paper just to make sure I'm in the ballpark, then go outside and shoot broadheads and field points to see where they hit. Move the rest / nock point to move the broadhead group toward your field point group. This only works with fixed broadheads ... expandables will hit with your fieldpoints regardless of whether you are in tune or not. I hunt with expandables, but still use Thunderheads just for tuning purposes.

Thanks. I got it pretty close. Not exactly a bullet hole, but close.

I don't know why I'm messing with it. I'll probably be getting a whisker bisquit in the next week or so anyway and have to do it again.

Be sure to click on the "Tuning Guide". It's in PDF format and will allow you to find what you need for tuning. This web site has helped me with tuning problems in the past.

PLEASE PLEASE dont go get a wisker....JUNK JUNK JUNK....If you want to eliminate fletching contact problems COMPLEATELY...Go get a good fall away rest...You will GAIN speed and eliminate any problems or worries with fletching...Wisker will SLOW you down...RUIN your fletchings..WEAR OUT then you have major probs...JUNK JUNK JUNK....Thems just my 2 cents bit trust me on this...Them 2 cents may save you the loss on a dang nice buck
