375 JDJ - Hornady 300 FMJRN ENC

I bought some boxes with 375/300 FMJ RN, but it`s the Encapsulated bullet.  Somebody who have tried it - on game?

I used the bullet in Africa out of my .375JDJ.  It worked well on a zebra at 200 meters and a kudu at 150 yards.

what is an Encapsulated bullet by the way i seen a few of them an not sure what the term means
still new at this reloading stuff an all

The encapsulated bullet has no exposed lead.  The old style Hornadys had the jacket open on the base end.  Unless they really retard the base from flattening sideways in heavy game they probably have little practical value in your average Oliphaunt gun.  You can shoot them in indoor ranges with a "no exposed lead" rule though, what fun...
