I finally got to try out the Lyman Digital Powder system this weekend and I LIKE IT!!. Set it up on a side table next to my reloading bench. Started with all brass already primed. Loaded some 270's, Changed powder and loaded some 45-70's. So the loads were not small. 57 grs of H4831 and 55 gr of H4198. Push the button and by the time I seated and crimped the bullet the next batch would be ready. Checked it closely several times with my beam scale and just as advertised it was never off by more that .1 grs and most of the time it was right on.

will that not dispence another shot if the powder pan still has powder in it ?

I did not try to but I am almost sure that it would not. It stops itself based on the wieght on the digital scale. If that amount of weight was on the scale already it would not go.

If it goes over the entered weight by more than 0.1 grain or so it beeps, LOUDLY ( it always beeps LOUDLY ) at you and if I remember correctly, displays an error message in the LCD window.
