209X50 peep problems

My encore 209X50 has a problem!  It shoots approx. 14" low at 100yds with the Williams peep.  The elevation is max's out, assume I need a lower front sight.  Where do I get it?

dbl bbl,you can take a file, and file a little of your front site off.That will lift your point of impact .Just take a very little at a time,as the old saying gos a little gos a long way!.pan.

If it has a fiber optic sight, that wouldn't be possible. I had the same problem with my black diamond. I had to install a williams shotgun shorty ramp from MidwayUSA. This would depend on your barrel diameter, mine is .880" and the shorty ramps fits .875", fit like is was made for it. I used either the 3/16" or 9/32", don't remember which, but it matched up with my WGRS rear sight so the aperature mount was positioned in the middle of the rear base instead of at the very tip top.

Go here and plug in the measurements asked for, then buy the correct heigth front sight. A one stop Front Sight Height Calculating and Buying!

Proper sight height is not difficult. Just remember that the goal is to make the front and rear sights the same height above the center of the barrel. And, when you make your measurements, you MUST use a caliper or micrometer. You must have a decimal answer (for example, .875) for the calculator to work. A few thousandths can have a substantial effect and this is no place for a tape measure or micrometer eyeball!

* For rifles, you measure the front sight height from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the sight. For pistols you measure the height of the blade only. This is true unless stated otherwise in the sight specifications.
