I was looking at the Huntsman and the Sidekick muzzleloaders at the NEF website. According they the NEF website, they state that:

-Rifle frames may be fitted with additional rifle, shotgun, and    muzzleloader barrels.
-Shotgun frames may be fitted with additional shotgun and muzzleloader barrels only.

My question is, what kind of receiver is on their muzzleloaders? Are you able to put rifle barrels on these frames?

the huntsman is built on a shotgun frame. It can only be fitted with shotgun barrels. The sidekick can no tbe fitted with any barrels. It is modified so that it isnt considered a firearm. The best bet I think is to buy the rifle of ones choice and then have the huntsman fitted to it. Then you can add almost anything to the frame down the road.

Or you could buy the Huntsman combo....Handi-RifleTM 243 Win./Hunstman® 50 Cal. Muzzleloader (SB2-543)... Note the SB2 designation..of course that only works if your lookin' for a .243 also...MTNMAN :wink:

I have to agree w/ you Bubba about buying a rifle frame then. I have been "bitten" by the NEF single shots. I am thinging about getting a 45-70. Then I got to thinking (thinking like this gets me into trouble), I could get a 45-70, then by a muzzleloader barrel, and get rid of my Ruger 77 ML. Then I could maybe get rid of a BLR 257 Roberts I don't use, and get a couple other barrels, like a 270 or 280, 223, 28 g and maybe a 243. It is a pipe dream but I am just thinking.
