scope for my traditions lighting bolt

I am fairly new to ML I have been shooting for about 10yrs., but after reading some of the posts here I figure I'mstill a greenhorn to most of you! My question is I was messing around awhile back and found an old Bushnell rifle scope I was thinking of putting it on my traditions Lighting bolt. Will this scope hold up? the only guns I have ever used a scope onare rimfire .22s. I you think it will if not I'll go back to iron sights. Although the scope has been sitting out of use for awhile, I hate to ruin it.

Welcome to Graybeard Outdoors. :D  If it's an older Japan made scope, it'll probably work just fine, but I would be cautious of any chinese built scopes. I've got a Taiwan built scope that seems to be a good one, FWIW. I also have a chinese Sportsman mounted on a .357 maxi that I haven't shot yet, but it is a fun gun and not going to be a serious hunting gun, I'd have to check it out a lot at the range before I trusted it for hunting. Graybeard has checked out a lot of the Bushnell line and has lots of praise for them but I'm not sure if all of the lower cost models are included.  hth,  Tim
