Old Bernardlli Auto (.22)
« on: August 24, 2004, 06:04:54 PM »
I have one of these passed down to me from my dad. He bought it in about 1958 -60. It is a good shooter though I haven't shot it much in a long while. Holds about 10 rounds and is a 4" barrel. It is in excellent shape and has never misfired or jammed. Anyone know much about these and possibly the worth of this fine pistol ??

Thanks Jim...here's what's written on the side...V. Bernardalli-Gardone V.T.-Aut. Cal. 22-Long Rifle and then right below that is Made in Italy...Serial # 2709.  There is nothing else on the heavy little pistol. Thanks, U S.

U S:  Here is what I can give you since you stated (heavy ) they made a model 69 target 22 cal. wraparound wood grips wood, 38oz.  Then they made a model 100 target also a 5.9 in barrel adj. sight checkered wood grips imported 1968-88  Then their was a model po10 target matt black finish large walnut stippled grips 10 shot 40.5 oz. imported 1995-97   The model 69 and the po10 are worth the most if in 100% condition $575 and $675 the model 100 $395, there are several others to chose from but without a model # or the gun in my hands to compare with various models this is the best I can do for you, hope it has been of use to you. :D    JIM

Jim, thanks for your effort. I do know for a fact that my Dad bought it new in the late 50's because I remember when he bought it. He and my Mother use to let me take it out and shoot it when I was about 17 and then later they said the gun just dissappeared when I would ask to shoot it again (I think they had second thoughts about a kid with an automatic pistol). After my Dad died in 1988 my mother ask me to come over one day and that she had something for me. There it was, the pistol that they had lost and I had forgotten about all those years and she wanted me to have it.

I wish I could give you more info on it but what I told you is all that's written on the gun. It does have smooth wooden grips and shoots absolutely wonderful with never a jam that I can recall. I shot it the last time afew years ago and am going to be shooting it a little more here shortly. Thanks, Dave

PS  It does have fixed sights
