I'll post this in the handloader forum also but, can the 401 winchester (model 10 rifle)case be formed from any other available case?

according to cartridges of the world 9th edi, page 129 it states.  With a bit of lathe work, 35 Remington cases can be converted to work perfectly in 401 WSL. chambered rifles.  Thats all I could find at this time hope it helpes. :D   JIM
