Glock ported 23, Extra .357 unported barrel
« on: August 09, 2004, 02:54:57 AM »
I recently purchased an extra .357 Sig "unported" barrel, mfg. by "Glock," for my "ported" Glock 23, in .40 S & W.

I took it to the range the other day, inserted the new "unported" .357 barrel, and tried to run a magazine of rounds through it, but they won't feed.  The rounds kind of 'nose dive' into the magazine well.

Any ideas?

I've had no feed problems with the .40 in its original configuration. (ported slide/barrel).  I also used the same (.40) magazine that came with the firearm, for the .357.  The Model 23 is of recent mfg.

Hmmmmm, checked your mag springs lately? Sounds like the mag springs are not keeping up with the higher velocity of the slide. A new recoil spring might help as well. There are usually very few feeding problems with the .357 SIG, especially with a factory Glock barrel.
