"Recognizing the 10th Anniversary of the Arizona CCW Law"
11 Aug. 2004

This year is the 10th anniversary of Arizona's CCW law, which allows regular citizens to tactfully bear arms for their own safety. By any measure, the law is a success.

We are recognizing the success of this law at a special big-time blowout banquet! It's the biggest gun-rights event in years! Don't miss the excitement! Reservation info is below.

We have learned that ordinary people, going about their business armed, are in the lowest crime-demographic groups. Fear of Wild West crime waves gave way to the reality of lives saved and crimes stopped. We have cases like Rory Vertigan backing up an ambushed police officer. After ten years, the right to keep and bear arms is demonstrably a good thing.

We have several major headliners set to speak and will make that announcement shortly. It's going to be a blast!

The Human Right of Self Defense Award will be bestowed for the first time.

This event is being sponsored by:

The National Rifle Association

Gun Owners of America

Second Amendment Foundation

National Shooting Sports Foundation

Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership

Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association

As a courtesy, the President and senior White House staff have been invited. We would be particularly pleased to welcome Dr. Condoleezza Rice. She has spoken eloquently of the value of the family firearm, as a child growing up in the South, and we are expressing our interest up through "channels."

Our theme revolves around self defense, crime deterrence, and the wholesome value of firearms that are the reasons for the CCW law. Law enforcement and the citizens have worked together to make the system a success. Our goal on this tenth anniversary is to recognize the often overlooked importance of self defense and the honorable reasons for the Second Amendment.
