Can anyone tell me if the stainless frames started when TC began with the easy open frames.  Or have they always made stainless frames from the beginning.

The stainless frames were not made in the beginning.  I am sure all the stainless frames are easy open type.  I lost the website address that listed all the years of manufacture on the TC frames.  Ed

Easy Open frames started in 1988, so it looks as if the SS models came after.

I think that the "easy-open" frames actually started around 1982 - I bought a new, complete 10" 30 Herrett in 1982 and it was an easy-open frame
