Williams Fire Fly Front Sight for Marlin 336CB

I am pretty sure that the Fire Fly Front sight for the '336' that I got with the FP peep sight is not compatable with the 336 Cowboy.  The Cowboy does not have the hood nor the ramp. The dovetail slot is part of the rifle barrel. The factory sight is much higher then the Fire Fly that I got. I think this one is for the ramp that is part of the front sight on the other 336 models.

Can someone confirm that this is correct.  Does Williams have a higher Firefly that will fit.  

Should I measure the height of the factory sight and then relay this to them.

Those sights come in many different heights and widths also.  I like the wide ones for guns with the dovetail in the barrel and no ramp.  It would be best to call them and they will get you set up, they are very helpful.
