aftermarket grips for G2?
« on: August 23, 2004, 04:23:09 AM »
Anyone making aftermarket grips for the G2 yet?  I just bought one for my lovely spouse.  She's a big fan of it, as it opens oh so much easier for her small hands, but the factory grip is pretty bad.  Pachmeyer doesn't have one listed yet.

Thanks, I chatted with Jim yesterday afternoon.  He's making three models for the G2, but only one in left handed (forgot to mention she's a lefty....).  His grips and forends look pretty nice.  Might try one for my own contender.  Still wish I could get a pachmayr for her, though...

cheers.

Wouldn't hold my breather waitng for the Pachy's to come out for the G2... they still haven't even done them for the Encore yet despite saying a very long time ago "they are coming".

I'd bet Fred is doing them at Bullberry - and he'd build you whatever you want in a "lefty".   He'll even fit to your ladies hand.   Just a thought.

Encore Grip on G2
« Reply #4 on: August 26, 2004, 05:36:22 PM »
Okay,

Last weekend, just out of curiosity, I inserted a G2 frame into an Encore synthetic pistol grip.  It seemed to fit, but I didn't try to insert the retaining screw.

Will an encore grip fit onto a G2 frame?  I'll try to make time this weekend and see for myself.
