Loading a shotgun

I have a friend that owns a blackpowder shotgun.  It has no manufacturer name or serial numbers.  How much blackpowder should be used and what type of ammunition. :?

your friend would be wise to have a good gun smith check his shot gun,many old guns had damascus barels and should not be fired unless in very good condition and then with real blackpowder only.befor any one can recomend a load you need to post gage and lenth.
