I was looking on the H&R website and noticed that the 450 Marlin was not offered any more. Was it a slow mover or what? They still have the barrel listed in the accessary program though. And the green laminate stocks seem to be gone to. Was thinking of maybe getting one sometime. Did Marlin want to down size H&R. Does anyone have a handi in the 450 Marlin? If so how does shoot :eek: with a 22 in barrel.

Since the 450 Marlin and 45-70 Government are the same capacity, I'd choose the rimmed over the belted in a single shot any day.
Is there some reason you want .450, like already reloading it for another gun?

I was just wondering about the 450 Marlin since it is not listed anymore. They come out with a new round that is the same and it does not seem to have went over like they wanted it to. Was wanting to get a 45-70 in the BC and maybe in a standard barrel too. Can by one set of dies for both and load smokeless or bp.

Yes Tacomaj If you have the name and number of the shop and what town it is in I might call them and see what they want for it. We are going on vacation in sept to NC and might be able to stop by and see about one of the ultras. Thanks
