Encore Scope Mount

I just bought an encore and put the scope mount on the gun.  The front end tends to "ride up" and is not flush on the barrel.  Is this common?

In short, yes it is common.  I know there are some people that modify them....not my game but they may answer.  All my barrels are custom but my friends "ride up" with no seeming ill affects.

I personally like to add another screw to the forward part of the rail. Just makes the whole set up more stabile.  KN
