Ruger #1 trigger adjustment
« on: August 15, 2004, 11:39:54 AM »
Can the trigger on a #1 be safely adjusted?
If so please explain.
I don't know what the trigger weight is, but it seems a bit heavy to me.
thanks Ken

Ruger #1 trigger adjustment

You can adjust the newer triggers for overtravel and some limited weight reduction only. The older triggers (131- prefix and earlier) also allowed adjusting the sear engagement, then the lawyers and our litigious society stepped in. The best bet is to get a Moyers replacement trigger. They really help on a #1.
