Hello NEF experts!
I am preparing to order a wood stock and forearm for my new NEF Sportster in .17 Mach 2, bull barrel.
I am looking in the Brownells catalog number 56, on page 336.
The wood stock I am looking at is number 427-000-114.
The forearm would be 427-000-131, the Classic, checkered, or the Pardner, item 427-000-127. Not sure which I need. Are they all the same for bull barrel or regular?
Then I would also like to replace the rather thick recoil pad with a standard butt plate, so I am looking at item 427-000-108, over in the first column on that page. The other items are in the middle column.
Forgive me if I am provding too much info but I am trying to be as specific as I can so you guys can tell me if these items listed for the Handi-Rifle will fit on my Sportster. I went to the Brownells website to view the schematic, but it indicates one is not available.
So would anyone know if I would be good to go? I just want the plain jane wood. The fancier laminates are nicer looking but I'm trying to get by on the cheap.
Don't know what I'll do with the plastic ones but I really prefer the wood over the plastic stuff and it doesn't appear as though wood is available initially in the Sportster lineup, at least that is what I gather from the NEF website.
Thanks to you all!
Joe
