Bush asks McCain to help block 527s

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (CNN) -- President Bush wants to work with Sen. John McCain to take legal action against "shadowy" outside groups that have been spending millions of dollars on ads criticizing the president and Democratic rival Sen. John Kerry, the White House said Thursday.

All three of these men took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

Perhaps they missed this little tidbit from that document in their last PoliSci class...

Quote
Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

A lot of good men and women died to protect that Amendment.   I hope these three stooges remember that eventually.

I like Rush's idea for reform: Anyone can contribute whatever they want.......It has to be fully disclosed on a web site...every penny.  I don't like being told that the NRA, for example may not use my money to stump for my candidate. The little guy has no hope of influence in a race, but if he can pool his money within an interest group, he is suddenly on an even playing field with the big buck players.

Tubby,

Do you think the big buck players have any plans for ever letting you and I have an even playing field with them?   All we can hope for is to vote out the government people we voted in, if they don’t do what we wanted them to do.   And above all, let us not forget all the crap they pulled between elections.

Awesome movie, Intrepid. It tells the truth. I put in a previous post, I don't get people like Michael Moore. If he doesn't like the US, let em' leave. Send his @$$ over to live with his Iraqi friends!!

The Democrats--and I would like to see a strong Democratic Party though Iam a Republican--only have a Liberal wing,no moderates ,no conservatives--not true with the Republicans.Zell Miller will be a keynote speaker for Bush.
