I have a chance to buy a Marlin 1894P--I think that is the model number.  It is the one that has a 16.5in. ported barrel in .44mag.  The seller is asking $350.  Is this a fair price?  Should I offer less?  Should I pass on the deal?

Bill,sc
The blue book of values has it at 100% $ 415 98% $ 300 97% $225
So if its between 100% & 97% its probobly worth what hes asking, But
I would offer him $300, All he can do is say no. Good luck.....Joe.......

I recently bought one that the owner had never fired, it was a gift and he traded it to a local gun shop. We don't see a lot of levers here in central Iowa, I was looking for the 480 to come out. They called me about this piece and $375 I was skipping to the truck. I would have jumped another 50 easy. Its no longer made, neither are they porting the guns.
