Working Bee's Wax?
« on: September 29, 2004, 07:42:52 AM »
I have some wax a beekeeper gave me after he let his bee's work the last of the honey out. What's the best way to clean it up for lube makeing. I can work it in the kitchen or outside on the deepfryer. Any thoughts? Thanks up front. Aaron

I melt mine on the stove, then pour it into an "speckleware" cake pan.  Most of the junk will sink to the bottom so if you pour slowly it won't end up in your "cake".  Then I let it cool a little and toss it in the freezer.  Pops right out of the pan.
