I just thought I would let everyone know there will be a Pistol Shoot at the Jesse JAmes Farm in Kearney Missouri September 18th. Registration starts at 8 a.m., with the shoot starting at 9. The shoot has separate categories for cartridge revolvers and cap and ball revolvers. Fixed sight is required for all revolvers. The match consists of:
6 shots at woodpecker silhouettes, 15 yards
11 shots at bullseye, 10 yards
6 shots at a candle target, 10 yards (deduction for hitting candle, object is flame-this is a picture of candle, and scored by having a target on rear of paper)
6 shots at a playing card, 5 yards.
Prizes (medallions bearing JEsse's likeness) are given for 1, 2 and 3 in both categories. Usually done by 11:30.
