Has anybody out there tried shot loads out of the Tracker II? If you
have what were the results?
It would seem to me that in a pinch it could be useful for harvesting
small game.

Yes I have tried it with 6 shot and it had a donut shaped pattern. I think the pattern comes from the rifling twisting the shot through the barrell.

What range were you shooting? I figured at some range that a
doughnut shaped pattern would develop but was hoping a usable
pattern might be available at short range. I think I will do some testing
and see what develops.
Thanks for your answer.

I was shooting about 25 yrds. Shooting a a 3x3 piece of paper just to see how the barrell handled shot.

Not very good range is it? I guess if you learned where to hold off
on your aim it would still be good enough to get a squirrel or rabbit
for survival.
By the way, congrats on your transfer. Sounds like a good situation
for you.
