Just getting some ammo today when I noticed an older lady picking up 5 boxes of 12ga Lightfield Slugs. She was retired age and a smaller framed lady. I asked if they were for her husband or son and she said, no, they were for her, she was getting sighted in for deer season. Shotgun doesn't start for another 2 months. Most guys around here shoot about 1 box a year just to make sure its sighted in from last year, so she's no casual deer hunter.
I just thought it odd that she opted for the 12ga when its supposedly according to many "too much recoil" to handle. :-D
