Cordova bear hunt...any suggestions?
« on: August 08, 2004, 06:21:39 PM »
Hey fellers.

I'm heading over to Cordova in September (10-17) for a black bear hunt.  Gonna have my brownie tag, too...just in case...and might try for the moose harvest if it's still open then.

I know I need to expect rain.  That's a given.  But what about the temperatures that time of year?  55-65 for the highs?

Thanks!
Andy

You have the weather figured out. It rains more there than in Valdez.  The bears should still be on the salmon streams.  I don't know which unit your going to be in 6D or 6C out of Cordova.  Should not matter.

Have a great hunt!

I used to spend three or four months a year running a camp at Katalia across the Copper from Cordova the area is fantastic you should have the hunt of a life time, Good Luck.
