scopes dots and iron sights

Having owned and shot both the 454 and the 500 S&W.  I find my
370 Gr Cast Performance Bullets behind 44.5 grains of H110 in the 500 recoils harder then the 454 300 gr loads.
If you don`t believe me ask my hand, it can tell you.  Very accurate revolver.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.  Some stay awhile and leave footprints on our hearts.  And we are never.  Ever the same.   Authur unknown.  In memory of my son Jonathan.

scope lapping
« Reply #31 on: August 30, 2004, 03:36:14 PM »
I plan to put a scope on my 454 Casull. I called Freedom Arms about their reccommendation for a scope ring&base. My revolver is a Freedom Arms Model 83 standard . They are sending me a base with three rings.
With the three rings instead of two, I am concerned about getting the whole thing lined up properly. What are your hints for ring alingment and lapping process?
