Since this is the Remington area of the forum, I thought I would share my new purchase with you guys -- Remington 700 CDL .270.  I recently saw the CDLs on the Remington web site and love the classic stock and the 24" barrel.  I am going to have the action bedded and the barrel free floated and then have the muzzle re-crowned as it came with a small ding/imperfection in it.  Once that is complete, on goes the Leupold VXII 4-12x40 AO scope.  Then I'll really know what kind of rifle it is!  Anyone else have any CDLs?  Good hunting!

You little bugger you :)  :-D . Congrats on your beautiful purchase. I too am drooling over a 700 CDL .270. Hopefully in the future this gun will be in my cabinet  :roll: . Once again, congrats on your purchase and I hope it gets ya a nice deer this season :D

The 700 CDL is a beautiful riifle. I looked at several about a week ago and was impressed with the design and workmanship each one displayed. I like the 24" barrel, the real walnut stock (ain't really into plastic), and the matte finish on the metal. This is a classic hunting rifle in every respect. I can't wait to get mine. Congratulations on getting a fine rifle. Keep us posted on how she shoots.
