Hi i order the Horton Hunter Max 175 package crossbow it said it would shoot 345 fps i am going to shoot Beman carbon bolts and a Rocket 76gr Mini Blaster 3L 1 3/4 cut use it on turkey and deer here in Ark i hope it will shoot 320fps at lest i mite try some Hammer heads they are a 100gr with a 2 inch cut but i going to start out with the 76grs it has the horton scope how many people use one and do you like them and is each line dead on i have always used a redot if i dont like the scope i will pull it off and stick me a reddot on it VM

watch your bolt weight and stick with what Horton recommends :wink:

Congrads on your new "toy".......have fun and good hunting.Be sure to check on Horton's recomadations on bolts and broadheads.Also you might want to check what is legal in your state to hunt with.You spoke of a 76gr. bhead.Here in Alabama,the min. is a 100 gr,w/ a cut diamter of min 7/8.This includes mech. bheads also as long as they open to at least 7/8.I use a 20" bolt,125 gr. Muzzy (3 blades) w/cut dia. 1 3/16 because this is what Barnett recomnes..........Have fun...................Rick :lol:

hi Ark law is only a 7/8 cut or bigger Horton used a Horton L2 lite arrow and a 100gr head they said to get 345fps i like the big cuts on turkeys i used to use the blood trailer 90gr head and had good luck on deer and turkeys i cant wait to get it in and shoot it season starts OCT 1 st for deer and turkeys and bear VM
