I haven't seen any yet, but on Rimfire Central there are reports of Marlins being available, and I recall a couple of others popping up in the last few weeks.  HM2 ammo is starting to be sold lots of places, but not anywhere near me in Wisconsin.

Got a call from Midsouth today, They asked if I still wonted my March order. They will be shipping  40 boxes of 17M2 ammo next week.   Now I have to get a bolt action rifle and scope. What a change ,last year had a 17HMR rifle w/ 4.5-14 scope and was looking for ammo. I,v heard that the C-Z rifles are good ,but I know that Cooper LVT rifles are out standing. The 17M2 will be used for shots out to  125 Yd. on prairie dog  and c lose shots on cotten tail rabbits but selecting a scope power and brand  has me stumped.

I got a TC contender carbine barrel for my G2 on ebay. It should be here tomorrow. I questioned the guy to make sure that was the right cartridge and he said yes, his distributer had just gotten a couple in and he took one. Now I have to get some ammo. I do have some 17 aquila I can try in it.......Jim.

Cascade Ammunition has Hornady and CCI .17M2 at $6.75. Cabela's has Green mtn. replacement barrels for 10-22's  at $119. Jarvis had bbl's for 10-22's, 77-22's, and Rem 597's $229 to $279.

The delay in drop-in 10-22 barrels is because you are going to need a new breechblock also.  All kinds of warnings  coming out about it.  It is going to require a heavier breech block and springs.

The box of CCI 17M2 ammo I got has a earning label  saying make sure your gun has a bolt designed for 17 M2.

I'd make sure!  The warning that came with the 17 M2  reamer and barrel liner that I got this week from Brownel's was very clear.  When I talked with Brownells  they said it was going to take more than a spring change.  It was going to require a heaver breech bolt.   A new bolt handle isn't going to do it.

Our 17 HM2 kits include a barrel and a heavy bolt handle assembly. We don't
sell the barrels alone because the bolt handle assembly provides the extra
weight required for the bolt to cycle reliably and safely.

Subject: 17M2 Barrel kit

Hello...I ordered one of your new 17M2 barrels yesterday to drop into a Ruger 10-22. After reading some information on a gun board I frequent[  http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=41773  ] there is a warning on the 17M2 ammo boxes that states a special bolt (AND SPRINGS ?) are needed to SAFELY shoot the new ammo. My question is does EABCO's kit have the correct new bolt (and springs?)  to SAFELY shoot this new ammo?  Worried in Texas....John Scoggin...Bay City , Texas

Well....I feel a little better now but will just have to wait and see after I get the Kit.....I'll try and post the results as soon as I get it set up..... :bye:
