For years I have been preaching that Zeiss' 8 x 30 B/GA IF Olive binocular is the nearly perfect combination of quality, durability, size and grace for hunters. They were discontinued by Zeiss-USA in December 2001, available only in Europe.
A retailer has several NEW binoculars for sale on eBay. I have zero need for a third binocular.
They are not cheap. But they're also no prohibitively expensive -- so long as you remember you'll not be buying another binocular. Cost per day for the rest of your life will probably be a reasonable amount.
For those of you who want to make a once-in-a-lifetime acquisition, they're back!
