I'm already looking into a boat for next spring or should I say an item to burn my next tax return with! I'm completely new to boat buying and a real novice with boats in general, so I figured I'd ask you folks for some advice. I'll be catfishing (R&R,limbline, jugging and trotlines) and I'll also want to be able to get up in the sloughs and stumpy creek outlets for bream and probly some spring crappie fishing. I'll also have a guest or my two boys going along. I think I may need a flat bottom aluminum boat because of the need for shallow water work but I'm not sure. I will be river fishing mostly except for the occasional bream lake. I'm not looking for a specific model but more of a general length, shape and material that will serve my needs. Likely I will find an older used boat under $1500 that matches the desription I need and fix it up a little.
Hope I gave all the necassary info for you guys to put your heads together with and help me out. If not I will explain a little more betterer
Mike
