To Arnie, Alfredo and the rest of the crew at Ysleta Gun Club in El Paso:

A BIG thank you for a great 2-day match. The weather was great! a little windy, but it made the match interesting for everyone. We all enjoyed the comraderie and the food, especially Dr. Joe's "buche" tacos.

Thank you all for being such great hosts! Hope to see you here in Tucson for the Internationals next month :-)

Congratulations to both Tony Lopez and Bill Motl for the outstanding shooting they did over the weekend.  Tony Lopez won the Standard rifle class match with scores of 29-27 and Bill Motl shot outstanding scores of 31-32 to handily beat the competition on the Hunting rifle match.  Bill also won the aggregate of both events with 118X160.

Joy Cox was High Lady on both events and Adrian Tovar also was High Junior on both events.  Jim Hebenstreit won High Senior on the Standard rifle match and Roger Park won High Senior on the Hunting rifle match.

Here is a link to a picture album I made of some of the Roy Johnson Memorial match 2004 winners so that you guys and gals can see them as well as pictures of some of the shooters that post here like Arnie Tovar “Bird Dog”, Joaquin Bustamante “Arizona Jake”, Leo Hwong “40X40” and Jim Beckley.

The hospitality was the best!
And great comradeship, good weather, beautiful range and facilities. You can't ask for anything more!

Tirador, just a small correction, the high Junior award was shared by Arturo Tovar in the Standard rifle and Adrian Tovar in the hunter rifle.

Thank you all for coming to see us and shoot with us... Glad you guys enjoyed the "buche" :D
Solid on point, Steady to wing and shot.
