It's an older Bushnell Scopechief that does not have a cylindrical tube. There is a rail integrated into the underside of the scope. I'm guessing this is an older technology in scope mounting, but it's new to me. Thanks!

It's probably a rimfire scope meant to be mounted on a 3/8" rimfire dovetail.

I don't think so.
Way back both Bushnell and TC made "rail mount" scopes. To mount them you MUST have the proper mating rail to put on your gun. Now finding one at this time to fit your gun is not gonna be easy. My advice is to retire the scope and buy another. If you just insist on being stubborn try the Classifieds with a want to buy ad and contact my Sponsor Ed's TC's banner on TC Handgun Forum and see if he might have the proper rail. He may as he has a lot of such miscellaneous stuff. If neither of those work you're on your own.

I talked to a guy who uses these scopes, and he said he filed off the rail. The barrel is 1 inch, so regular rings work. I'll give that a try too. If it doesn't work, then no real loss.
